In order to “keep up with the future”, colleges and universities across North America will be replacing instructors as well as students with artificial intelligence. Board directors claim “this is the only way forward”, despite no longer having students to pay tuition and thus no way to keep operations running. Support staff is encouraged to remain on strike as there is no real reason for them to return now. In order to keep making any money whatsoever, plans are in place to begin selling art created with generative A.I., with officials insisting “people love this slop stuff. There’s no world where it doesn’t fly off the shelves.”
